Description
The Tuesday Club, part of the California Federation of Women's Clubs, was founded as the Tuesday Literary Club by Findley R. Dray in 1896. It began as a women's study club to discuss educational, current, and general interest topics in the homes of its members each month. There are different departments in the club like music, history, and drama. There is also a memoriam in the booklet as well, listing members who have recently passed away. In this issue there are multiple advertisements in the back, most likely of sponsors or supporters of the group. The Tuesday Club later evolved into a sizable philanthropic and social club.
