Description
Highway 39 Drive-In. 7901 Trask Avenue, Westminster, CA 92683. Opened June 29, 1955, closed March 31, 1997. 1,600 car capacity. Almost all of the Pacific Drive-In Theaters in Southern California had cool murals on their theater screens. The Hi-way 39 was a classic, screen mural, neon road sign, manicured lawns and palm trees all around. It was the last drive-in operating in Orange county. Like all of these monster drive-ins in urban areas, the land value simply becomes too great to justify the operation continuing. http://cinematreasures.org/theaters/4813
