Photograph was edited for publication purposes The Clarence W. Pierce School of Agriculture is a two-year community college in Woodland Hills, California. It opened in September 1947, with 70 students and 18 faculty members and is part of the Los Angeles Community College District. The school's initial focus was crop cultivation and animal husbandry, and still retains a large swatch of open fields for hands-on working farm training. In 1956 the school was renamed Los Angeles Pierce College. Photograph caption dated November 25, 1964 reads, "James MacArthur tries to make a break for it today at Pierce College, but Kathi Haley, left, and Randi Pruyn, atop, make this is one man who isn't going to get away. Yep, it's Sadie Hawkins Day at school."
