Photograph caption dated March 26, 1962 reads, "Leon Ames, second from left, applies the trowel to improvements at the Valley Association for the Handicapped building, 12145 Burbank Blvd., North Hollywood. Looking on at the ceremony are, from left, Mrs. J. Downing Meyers, of the Association; Jack Rolbin, chairman of the Creston Welfare Committee, and Verna Felton, actress. Planned improvements to the building and adjoining patio will total $12,000."
