Photograph article dated November 14, 1961 partially reads, "Sandra Hirst came home to Panorama City Friday night tightly clutching a gleaming trophy. She's 'Miss Motorcycle of 1961...' Sandra, 16, was nominated for the beauty contest by the Checkers Motorcycle Club of Glendale. She was chosen after the final race Friday at Ascot Stadium, Gardena. Sandra is a junior at James Monroe High School, Sepulveda, and lives at 8326 Bardwell Ave., Panorama City."
