Description
Shown is a colorful circa 1917 postcard advertising the Travelers Hotel at 450 J Street. The hotel opened in 1914 after the original company lost the contract for the building due to a prostitution scandal. The hotel operated until 1970 when it was closed for a poor business record. It stands today as an office building and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
