From the 1970s until the late-1980s, the Southern California Rapid Transit District (RTD) operated a main terminal in the basement of the three-level Greyhound bus terminal at 6th and Los Angeles streets. The terminal was designed by Kenneth R. Swift of Welton Becket and Associates and constructed in 1965.
