Document is the appointment John Swett to be member of the Board of Trustees at the State Normal School at San Francisco in the seat of California Governor James N. Gillet (Jan. 9, 1907-Jan. 3, 1911), dated March 11, 1907 State of California Executive Department. To all to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting: Know Ye, That reposing special confidence in the capacity and integrity of John Swett I, J. N. Gillett, Governor of the State of California, in the name and by the authority of the People of the State of California, do, by these Presents, Appoint and Commission him, the said John Swett, of Martinez, a member of the Board of Trustees of the State Normal School at San Francisco, vice self name withdrawn for the term of prescribed by law. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State to be affixed at Sacramento, this 11th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seven [Seal] By the Governor: [signed] J.
