Description
This photograph was taken in February of 1960 from the balcony overlooking the Sacramento Central Library's Reference Room. At the desk is librarian Edna Cunningham, who worked at Central from 1958 to 1960. In 1995, the room was converted into a special collections library and archives, the Sacramento Room, which dedicated itself to maintaining unique collections relative to the history of Sacramento City and County and the State of California.
