Photograph caption dated March 19, 1957 reads, "Congressman Edgar W. Hiestand, center, discusses need for airline service linking Antelope Valley and Burbank and Los Angeles with Harry S. DuBois, left, chairman of Lancaster Chamber of Commerce Aviation Committee, and J. Shelton Gordon, Palmdale Chamber of Commerce. All three testified in Washington recently at Civil Aeronautics Board hearing on petition of Southwest Airways to give Antelope Valley vital civilian air links. CAB decision is expected shortly, Hiestand said."
