The Long Beach Municipal Band poses for a group portrait in front of a two story building. Incuded among the instruments are tubas, trombones, kettle drums, clarinets, harp, saxophone, flutes, french horns, etc. A sign on the building reads: "Long Beach Municipal Band Concert, free daily; 2:30 & 7:30 p.m. except Mondays. Under direction of Herbert L. Clarke". Mr. Clarke was previously an assistant to John Philip Sousa.
