Scope/Content: Miss Suzanne Harding, representing Douglas Aircraft Co. was awarded the coveted title of "Miss Victory" at the recent Artists and Medels Ball. Radiant in her queenly robes, she is shown as she received her prize of $50.00 war bond donated by the Golden State Mutual Life Insurance Co. presented by R.W. Smith, assistant director of agencies. Fellow employees and plant officials rallied to tMiss Harding's support and climaxed a heroic campaign in her behalf with a record-breaking contribution of $546.42. The total amount donated the South Side Commiunity Art Center, sponsors of the ball, through the efforts of the nine contestants was $1188.71 which has been invested in war bonds for the future of the center. Mrs. Pauline Kigh Reed, president, observes the presentation.
