Photograph article dated May 23, 1963 partially reads, "Clyde and Dee Goehring, Saugus couple, believe in bringing the spirit of California to the present. Members of the Western Riders of America, the Goehrings appear in parades dressed in authentic Spanish costumes of the early California fiesta period and riding Spanish horses, the Arabian saddle-bred golden Palominos. In the past 7 years the Goehrings have probably ridden in more fiesta parades than most people have seen, and have captured 365 trophies."
