Description
Annotation translation: "The fishermen live in the little houses with their thatched roofs. There is always something going on here. Boats come and go, nets are repaired, and then there is a large group of children who watch the white man, who is prepared to go swimming, with great admiration." Annotation: "In den kleinen strohgedeckten Häusern wohnen die Fischer. Es ist hier immer ein geschäftiges Treiben. Boote kommen & gehen, Netze werden geflickt, dazu die stattliche Kinderschaar [sic], die den weissen Mann, der es sogar wagt hinauszuschwimmen, verwundert betrachtet."
