Description
Lynn Peril discusses her book, “College Girls.” She talks about how she wanted to show the history of women at college and how they’ve changed over the years. She talks about how women explore new situations while being away from home for the first time. She discusses patriarchal rule for women in co-ed colleges. Peril talks about how she did most of her research looking at teenage magazines from the 1940s to the 1970s. She ends the interview by discussing the differences between all-girl school and co-ed universities.
