Photograph article dated December 25, 1954 partially reads, "Santa Claus made it with ease down the chimney for the First Methodist Church's Afternoon Club when, with the assistance of M. O. Nelson, president and trustee, he presented a $10,000 clubhouse and its keys to Rev. Lawrence Warren. Nelson, retired building contractor, made the clubhouse possible. The project was opened with a prayer and get-together by adults of the church. The five-room house, complete with fireplace and exterior patio, is on spacious grounds where a brand new church building is under construction. Sunday School class rooms already have been placed in use." Photograph caption reads, "Club house officially accepted - Rev. Lawrence Warren, pastor of the First Methodist Church, San Fernando, right, accepts keys to new clubhouse for meetings of the Afternoon Club from M. O. Nelson who donated project."; See image #00137608 for additional photo in this series.
