Photograph was edited for publication purposes The church was organized as the Owensmouth Methodist Episcopal Church in 1912 (see image 00031351). This building, erected in 1922, was replaced in 1961 by another structure located at Sherman Way and Maynard Avenue. Photograph caption dated October 10, 1950 reads, "Methodist Community Church at Jordan and Wyandotte sts. was dedicated in 1923, when Canoga Park was Owensmouth, and has served many needs throughout the years of a community place of assembly for worship."
