Description
This is a letter written by Peter Drucker for Harold Smiddy. He writes to express how clearly Smiddy makes the distinction between "OR&S at GE", and "Operations Research" at the Case Institute and Arthur D. Little. Drucker explains, what he feels, is and is not scientific about "Operations Research". He emphasizes that even though OR&S uses some of the same tools as other types of work, "as both electrician and carpenter use screwdrivers", it is still a unique concept. This letter contains edits. This contains an original signature.
