Negative shows men and women who are participating in the 1986 y-Walk. They appear to be signing in at, or standing near, a set of tables. There are balloons at the tables and signs that indicate an alphabetical organizational method to signing in. The one readable sign says: "Mendelson. Morton." Some of the participants are wearing tee shirts that read: "Walk for women. YWCA 1986." The tables are in a parking lot and there is the YWCA building in the background. On envelope: "1986 Y-Walk." "Executive Director Faith Rein (the top job had been renamed again) and President Sarah Janigian launched two annual events that heaped public attention on the association: the Y-Walk downtown in 1984, in which volunteers enlisted sponsors to raise money for YWCA programs; and TWIN, Tribute to Women and Industry, in 1985." From Fran Smith, "Breaking Ground: The Daring Women of the YWCA in the Santa Clara Valley, 1905-2005, " (2005), p.87.
