Caboose #75 was built in the company's Sacramento Shops in May of 1899. It received most of its servicing in San Francisco and was wrecked on 7 May 1932 at Guadalupe in Santa Barbara County. Information about the car was provided by Blaine P. Lamb, archivist of the California State Railroad Musuem in a letter dated 2/17/1993. One of a series of photographs found in a Salinas area house at 1900 El Camino Real. The house was scheduled for demolition when the freeway was built through Salinas. It was an area where many people connected with the railroad lived. Photos 696-702 were placed together in a rough wooden frame.
