Portrait of attorney Newton Dal Poggetto. A third generation native of Sonoma, Newton Dal Poggetto is a former judge, successful trial attorney, and author of several books. He served as a Navy ensign during World War II, aboard a Navy destroyer, the USS Canfield. He set up a law practice in Sonoma in 1950, after going to law school on the GI Bill.
