Description
Used in the Exhibit: Play by Play - A Century of L.A. Sports Photography, 1889-1989
Marcel Dionne didn't capture fans' imagination until he was joined by Dave Taylor (on knee) and Charlie Simmer in 1979-80. That year, the fabled "Triple Crown" line meshed into a high-scoring unit with Taylor setting a then-franchise mark for goals (56) and Dionne leading the league in scoring. They even found time to sing: as Marcel Dionne and the Puck-Tones, they recorded the forgettable "Please Forgive My Miconduct Last Night." Taylor is now the Kings' general manager. Photo dated: November 11, 1986.
