Description
College buildings surround an inner courtyard lined by covered walks used by students to reach their classes at College of Notre Dame. Flowering vines line the outside of the walkway. Benches sit under the walkway." The College of Notre Dame was founded by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. The college, convent, and gardens occupied 10 acres of land along West Santa Clara Street just west of downtown. The college had the reputation of being one of the best women's colleges on the West Coast.
