Description
In a letter to a Mr. Budd, Kean presents himself as a potential buyer of the Theatre Royal Richmond. He gives his qualifications as a person experienced in theatre and admits that as an actor he is "weary of scampering about his majesties dominions." Kean ends with a request for more information on the sale and if there should be any objection to his offer. Kean adds a postscript that encourages Mr. Budd's haste with his response. Letter has been repaired and contains postmarks, an embossing, and the watermark of "Weatherley 1829." Last image scan has been rotated 90 degrees to the right.
