Description
Claude Welch was appointed Dean and Professor of Historical Theology of the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California, in 1971. He was appointed president of GTU the following year and served in that capacity until 1982. He retired from teaching in 2006 when he moved to Illinois.Additional Descriptive Notes: Tape 1 "History of the GTU" dated 1988-04-18; Tapes 2 and 3 "Later History of the GTU" dated 1988-05-09.
