Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated August 8, 1949 reads, "Cadet Robert Polizzi, 13, of 4504 Colbath Ave., Sherman Oaks, shown in cabin of plane receiving instruction from Lt. Franke Roome, Sherman Oaks, of the Van Nuys squadron, Civil Air Patrol. Robert is one of 25 cadets in the squadron being taught meterology [sic], navigation, flying, plane mechanics, radio, theory of flight and photography.
