Description
N.E. corner of White Oak (now Foothill) & Magnolia. John Bartle was President of the First National Bank of Monrovia. His wife Amelia Bowerman Bartle helped found the Saturday Afternoon Club, which was instrumental in establishing the Monrovia Publica Library. Pictured: perhaps Mrs. Bartle. This house was later moved to rear of the property and replaced it with a bungalow court on the front of the property.
