Started in 1938, the Hollywood Gold Cup is an American Grade I stakes race for thoroughbred horses held at Hollywood Park Racetrack in Inglewood, California.
Photograph caption reads: "Go West Young Man (left) and Balzac come down the stretch during yesterday's Hollywood Gold Cup. Go West Young Man won by a neck". Eddie Delahoussaye is the jockey on Go West Young Man and Chris McCarron is the jockey on Balzac. Photograph dated: June 23, 1980.
