Description: Photograph caption dated December 13, 1978 reads, "Fire department and Rapid Transit Department inspectors agree that the fire which destroyed this Los Angeles-bound bus in Lawndale yesterday was an overheated rear tire rubbing against the undercarriage. No passengers were injured but the damage was estimated at $12,000."
