Calvary exercises at Urban Military Academy on Melrose Avenue at Wilcox include hitting a suspended object with a sword while jumping over an obstacle on horseback. Urban Military Academy was a boarding and day school in Hollywood for boys between the ages of six and fifteen, founded in 1905 by Mary McDonnell.
