Description
Bust-length portrait.
1990-1725.
Born in Nova Scotia, Canada in 1826. Parents were of English and German descent. Worked in the daguerreotype business before coming to California. Arrived in California via Panama in 1850's. Married Mary Fetter Hite in 1859. Settled in Grass Valley in 1853, where ran dairy. Moved to Sacramento. Died in 1917.
