Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated May 7, 1962 reads "It was the seventh Basset Hound Picnic and Beauty Parade in North Hollywood Park, but grinning 3-year-old Lori Guevara and her boxer, Star, weren't going to be left out. Star, however, wasn't able to qualify for some of the Basset awards presented, including the titles of longest-eared adult male, female and puppy; the best howler, top milk drinker, best-dressed and the 'saddest basset at the picnic' Sunday. Besides one boxer, 280 bassets attended."
