Description
Marked restricted. Week’s observation of incarcerees’ attitudes towards resettlement. Discusses contributing factors of three progressive attitudes from “sit-tight”-those who do not want to leave the camp-to general acceptance of resettlement to those who have prepared to leave the camp. Contributing factors of fears and concerns about resettlement include citizenship, loyalty to the United States, socio-economic status, hostile communities, racism, the availability of resources and jobs in home communities and financial aid from the WRA. Also praises the Council's representation of Amache Camp incarcerees.
This collection contains materials generated by J. Ralph McFarling, a Community Analyst for the War Relocation
Authority, documenting the Amache Concentration Camp in Granada, Colorado where Japanese-Americans were incarcerated
during World War II.
