Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated March 21, 1964 reads, "Struggling over steep, rocky terrain, firemen quickly contained a potentially dangerous brush fire yesterday in Santa Susana Pass near the Los Angeles - Ventura County line. Battalion Chief Keith Fallgreen said the fire was sparked by a flare left at the roadside after a traffic accident. Not taking any chances, officials rushed more than 100 men, 20 fire units, bulldozers and a borate bomber to the two-acre blaze."
