Description
Photograph of the site of the Snake Dance at the Hopi Pueblo of Walpai (Walapai), [s.d.]. The pueblo is at left and consists of several attached adobe rooms. There is an arch-shaped hole serving as a passageway through a wall at center. There are two long wooden poles reaching into the sky at right, and a pair of donkeys is tied behind them. The tops of several ladders used to traverse the different levels can be seen all around the pueblo.
