Description
Photograph of a barbeque at Plummer Park, later called County Park, ca.1923. The many people in this picture sit on benches at long tables under a shelter made of wood and covered with palm fronds or reeds. There are two flags hanging from the rafters--one American and one Mexican. Several of the tables are empty, but those that have people sitting at them are covered with plates and cups. Picture file card reads: ""Gentleman on right is Mr. Chamberlain, an upholsterer and former member of the Vaquero Club. His son is at his side. Lady opposite is Mrs. Chamberlain with her sister-in-law beside her".
