Description
Photograph of entertainers at Tule Lake. The Paradise Melodiers band is on the side and a Caucasian man in clown-like clothing is at a microphone. A Caucasian man in a suit stands on the other side. The entertainment is taking place in a building with a stone wall and fireplace (the Administration Building?). Naoki ("Jack") and Tsuyoko (nee Tanoue) Koyasako were farmers who grew asparagus and onions in Clarksburg, California. They had eight children: Suenari ("Sue"), Kazuo ("Jackson), Kiyoko ("Kik"), Yoshio ("Yank"), Sueo ("Goi"), Jimmy, Tsuyako ("Chuck"), and Mitsuo ("Mits). Suenari married Alma Makashima. The Koyasako family was incarcerated at Tule Lake and took photographs with a contraband camera. Suenari was a musician in the "Paradise Melodiers" band that played in the Tule Lake administration building.
