Description
View looking south on North First Street toward the intersection of First and Santa Clara Streets. Automobiles are parked on both sides of the street which is also lined with shops and businesses. The brown building on the left with the Morris Plan sign is the Commercial Building. The tall building beyond is the Bank of Italy building. On the right with the top floor columns is First National Bank of San Jose before its facade was extensively remodeled in 1963.
