Description
The photo was taken by Caltech trustee Ben Meyer at his home in Santa Barbara. A gift of Evelina Hale to the Archives in 1959. In her letter Mrs. Hale wrote “Could [the photograph] be called documentary!”. A sepia-toned poster of this image is also available. Feb. 6, 1933
