Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Mono County Courthouse, ca.1930. The two-story courthouse is pictured from a distance at center, built in the Federal Style of architecture. A tall pole either for a flag or to be used as a lightning rod is featured at the top what appears to be a small belfry on the building's roof. Just in front, a cannon can be seen in front of a wrought-iron fence that circumscribes the courthouse. Smaller buildings and an early automobile can be seen to the right. A wide swath of cleared lot stands in the foreground. Built in 1882, the court house was the largest building in Mono County at the time of the photograph.
