Photograph of the entrance gate at Stanford University, ca.1900. A stone wall of arches emerges from the dirt foreground on the left and extends to a larger archway at center. A short tower sits above the larger archway and an identical tower and archway stands further down the yard on the right. Another stone wall with arches extends from the second tower towards the background on the right. A tree stands on the right while several more trees can be seen beyond the entrance on the left.
