Note: Eine Art Bildlegende auf einem maschinengeschriebenen Zettel, welcher nun den Photos beigelegt ist: "Das ehemalige sog. 'Baselheim' in HK, Erholungsort für MitarbeiterInnen in China, Ort der Verwaltung und Versorgung für China - Arbeitsplatz von Paul Schlegel für einige Jahre. (1986) Heute abgerissen (baufällig), ursprünglich erbaut ca. 1904." Note translation: A typewritten note filed with the photographs says: "The former 'Basel Home' in Hong Kong. A rest and convalescent home for Basel Mission people working in China, the place where the Mission's administration was carried on and where supplies for China were organised. It was the working place of Paul Schlegel for several years. (1986). It has been pulled down because of its need for serious repairs. It was originally built about 1904."
