Missionaries visiting. Standing to left in black suit and hat: Christian Borchgrevink, a missionary in Madagascar from 1869-1912. He married Johanne Christiane 1836-1924, maiden name Wang, in Tamatave, Madagascar on September 4, 1870. A little to the right: Governor Ramaniraka in a black suit and wearing a tropical helmet. To the right all wearing tropical helmets are missionaries: Theodor Thorbjoernsen, a missionary in Madagascar from 1887-1921. He married Dina 1862-1952, maiden name Joergensen, on board the mission ship "Paulus" on November 14, 1889. Next is: Anders Johannessen Rustad 1853-1926, a missionary in Madagascar from 1887-1918. He married Emilie Marie 1864-1895, maiden name Tegneby, in Madagascar on February 16, 1892. She was a missionary in Madagascar from 1889-1895. After her death he married Mette Margrethe 1859-1943, maiden name Smith, in Norway on May 13, 1899. Next is: Sigvardt Lauritz Wetterstad 1855-1922, a missionary in Madagascar from 1887-1919. He married Constance Amalie 1855-1926, maiden name Jacobsen, in Antsirabe, Madagascar on October 29, 1889.
