Tape of actor Edward James Olmos in a local library talking to an audience while promoting his film The Ballad of Gregorio Cortez (1982); studio guest Eddie Sosa ?) from the Draft Counseling Center in San Jose talks about issues around minorities and enlistment; tape of Dia de los Muertos celebration at local clinic; editorial on local officials by producer Juan Espinoza; studio guest Hayward police officer Rodriguez talking about regulations around lowriders and cruising. Barrio Expressions was a community access television show documenting Chicanx and Latinx life in the East San Francisco Bay Area. It ran on Hayward cable television from 1976-1985. While the shows were filmed primarily in the Hayward area, they include stories from around the East Bay and San Jose. The show aired weekly, with 26 episodes per year.
