Text written under photo: "Looking North on Mason from Market April 1906." View shows the ruins of the Tenderloin District after the disaster. The Native Sons Monument is in the foreground. The ruins of the building containing the Poodle Dog restaurant and, on Nob Hill, the Fairmont Hotel can be seen. Sightseers are milling about. Trolley wire has been strung on Market Street.
