Bound in black leather. The title "The Mariposa and Tahiti," is embossed in the center of cover in gold lettering. The number "66" is affixed to the top of spine with glue. Images are primarily of people and activities on the SS Mariposa, on which Jack and Charmian London sailed from San Francisco to Tahiti in February 1908. Also includes photos of people and scenic landscapes on Tahiti. Album has moderate wear on covers, more so on the edges and spine where black surface has rubbed away. Pages 92-96 are blank. Many of these photos, especially scenic landscapes, are duplicated in albums JLP 495 Alb. 57 and JLP 497 Alb. 59.
