Photograph caption dated February 18, 1958 reads, "Aerial view shows Lockheed Aircraft Corporation's new $9,000,000 Engineering Flight Test Center in Burbank at north end of Lockheed Air Terminal. Housing 1,200 scientists and engineers and covering five acres, center is believed to be industry's most complete and up-to-date flight facility. Hangar doors, three stories high, open directly to apron where Navy WV-2 radar sentry airplane is parked. Upper right area of building is large enough to accommodate four four-engine transports."
