Description
Two women wear full dress for January 1799. The woman on the left wears a round gown of white muslin with a chemise body and sleeves, straight collar and ruffle. She wears a vest of purple fabric bordered in pink that laces up the front. She wears a purple cap with crossings of pink muslin and edged with gold fringe. It is interlaced with a gold chain, having a bow and tassels on the left side. The woman on the right wears 'the Caballote:' a round dress, suspended on the left side; gathered round the breast, shoulders, and back of the neck, and trimmed with a broad border of crimson velvet. Her cap is made of white fabric, radiated and bound in crimson, with a light blue kerchief. One crimson shoe is visible.
