Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Photograph article date stamped February 21, 1962 partially reads, "Valley College and Pierce College track teams finally got together yesterday at Monarch Field, and due to the inclement weather felt more like ducks than trackmen, but Valley still managed to outsplash and outclass their West Valley rivals in rolling up a convincing 91 3/4 to 25 1/4 victory... Dick Krenzer, former Poly High star and winner two years ago of the Valley Times TODAY special mile run in the Poly Relays, cracked the tape in 4:29.6 for the four laps." Photograph caption reads, "Rain, cold can't stop intrepid milers - Valley College's Dick Krenzer shades Pierce College's Preston Massey."
