Photograph caption dated October 10, 1956 reads, "Roy Cooley, left, president of North Hollywood Lion's [sic] Club, hands Mrs. William D. Lowrey of Visually Handicapped school check for $1,200 to aid the blind. Looking on approvingly is Dr. J. W. McWherter, district governor for Lions International. School is one of many charities supported by Lions Club members."
